Something is brewing in Southern California and we were able to get an early taste. A new imprint called Room Temp Recs is dropping an 11-track compilation featuring the likes of Justin Jay, Kovaxx, Josh Brown and more. In celebration of the release, Room Temp has decided to share one of the tracks with us — Justin Jay’s “I Have Trouble Sleeping Sometimes”.

The track is in the style of Justin’s earlier works, reminiscent of West Coast 90s rap. With splashy claps and distinctive sine wave leads laid over soothing pads, Justin crafts a beat that perfectly encapsulates its title, invoking a feeling of nostalgic insomnia.

Room Temp Recs is the brainchild of West Coast born-and-bred producers, Fritz Carlton, Ghostea, Kevin Anderson, Lubelski, and Rybo. The compilation is titled Melting Pot Volume 1 and as its name suggests is an eclectic mixture of House music from around the world, featuring artists from not only CA, but from Sweden, UK, and Australia as well. The release will be made available to purchase or free download on June 23rd.
