It was back in August time now that we first had a catch up with Ed ‘Woody’ Allen, a man more recognisably known as Etherwood. It was then where he spoke of finishing his third album in the Finnish countryside, and boy couldn’t we wait. Now just over a week ago, the second track from the album, titled ‘Bears Breeches’, had it’s release, and it’s an absolute beauty.
Melodic, soothing, and subtle, Etherwood and Anile’s latest offering is a track that flies the flag for quality drum and bass. A surprising guitar might catch you off guard, but there’s no doubt it sounds perfectly at home against the intermittent rattle of hi hats and snare drums, as a soft vocal sample speaks of wanting “to see you in the morning light”. It’s harmonious, a lovely fusion of talent that has not only made a certifiable liquid roller, but also one that pulls deep on your heartstrings.
Etherwood – ‘Bears Breeches’ ft. Anile is out now. Purchase here, and listen to the track below.
