The reputation of Montreal’s Salon Daomé is synonymous both with a great vibe and with a crucial role in the city’s underground electronic music community. It’s been a pivotal place of creation and gathering since its foundation in 2001, cementing the local scene while also acting as a an ideal host for a range of international talent.
With over 15 years of operation, Le Daomé is set to move to a new location. After run-ins with the local district, they have been able to find a more appropriate spot to set up. April 8 will mark the end of an era, the closing of 141 Mont-Royal but the beginning of a new adventure at 4465 St-Laurent.
The club has committed to improving its acoustic aspect in a new sound lab, a new playground, where they will look to innovate and bring about the future of music with confidence and pride. The soft opening will take place Friday, April 13, with the official opening party on Saturday, April 21st. For this occasion, San Francisco legend Sunshine Jones, half duo Dubtribe Soundsystem will honour the venue with his exciting live performance. Preceded on turntables by veteran resident Nathan Burns.
