Next up on the burgeoning Suara imprint is Spain’ Affkt, who is releasing a two-track EP with remixes from Jonas Kopp, Desert Sound Colony and Bnjmn. In his own words, Affkt describes the vision behind his EP :
” Fosc is a track that arises from my fascination for Bugge Wesseltoft’s music. I really like his compositional work; the way he inserts darkness with flashing lights and bittersweet notes, Bugge is able to touch your heart and soul. I caught that inspiration but bringing it to my own ground, a more Techno sound.
Laberinto is quite difficult to describe, it is a mishmash of influences in which everyone could perceive my sometimes passion for organic sounds. This cut was originally composed while improvising with the synthesizer and it is fully inspired by classic horror films.
Both are very different from each other, at the same time, they are tracks that complement each other very well. There is an important balance between layering synths with more acoustic sounds. I have tried to build on this EP a ‘glue’ to stick sounds and feelings together. “Fosc” and “Laberinto” are slow-cooked compositions, music pieces stimulated by a personal maturation and evolutionary growth as a producer given by years of experience. ”
We are delighted to premiere Jonas Kopp’s remix. You can listen below.
