With a number of releases on the likes of Solomun’s Diynamic label, coupled with many on their very own Sintope Digital, you cannot doubt the presence of such quality.

NTFO – When We Dip 006 by When We Dip on Mixcloud
Your latest EP ‘Pretoria/Ghostown’ was released on your own label Sintope Digital. The label also gave Rhadow a great platform to gain notoriety. How did the label get started and where do you see it in the future?
We started the label in 2008 because we wanted to have a platform to push music that we produce and also to release some Romanian new acts/artists like : Rhadow, ICS, JASC, PDM. It was more a hobby but now is something serious. We do maybe 6 or 7 releases on it a year because the material is coming from our Romanian based artists so we want quality instead of quantity. Going forward we will keep it just like we have since 2008.
The ‘Composit’ EP was your second collaborative effort with Karmon on Diynamic and was a huge success. How did the relationship with Karmon and Diynamic develop?
Composit was one of the biggest records of our collaboration with Karmon. Our techy-tight beats fits perfect with melodic touch of Karmon and you will hear this in our next collaboration track together. It’s a remix for El Mundo and will come out on Bondage Music in September. Regarding Diynamic : we are enjoying playing together with the crew all over the world.
You have collaborated with a lot of artists over the years, including dutchman Stee Downes. You work well as a duo but how does it work when there’s someone else working with you?
Well it’s really easy to work with us, we have the collaborations with Rhadow and Karmon. The whole process takes only 1 or 2 days, sometimes hours so not a big deal.
You guys are from Timișoara in Romania. What is the music scene there like? Growing?
Timisoara has boomed this year, every weekend you can find a very nice party with international artists. Hope they will keep it like this from now on.
‘What’s your funniest memory from a tour or a gig you’ve done?’
It was in Beirut at ‘The Garden’ and after we finished our set, a guy came from the crowd with a CD case asking us that if it was possible to play it because he’s a DJ and he plays: hip-hop, R&B, etc and after we say NO, it is definitely not possible he says : DEEP-HOUSE???!! It was the funniest thing ever.
