With the summer season just around the corner peoples minds start to wander towards filling their long sunny weekends with adventures to festivals all over. Europe consistently hosts some of the hottest festivals in the world with one or more festival on every weekend. With so much competition around the challenge of sticking out from the crowd can leave some festivals left in the dust. Constant innovation and a unique selling point are two of the only ways to lead the pack. One festival that does both of these things extremely well is Weather Festival Paris. While this festival is still fairly new (started in 2013). It could be described as a bigger French cousin of Dekmantel. Bigger in numbers and with a lineup to knock any other festival out of the park.
Located in Paris, Le Bourget, Weather hosts an array of acts playing through all hours of the day and night. The party continues deep into the early hours of the morning with Saturdays last act finishing up some time close to 10 am on Sunday morning. The festival is co-run by the founders of Concrete who are no strangers to the early morning finishing time. Weather hosts a lineup of some of the best deejays and producers around. But one of the most iconic elements of the festival is their constant promotion of homegrown talent. Pushing their best and brightest into the spotlight and one a platform for the world to see. It’s things like this that has made Paris as a musical hub, go from seriously struggling a few years ago, to now one of the most exciting musical cities in the world.
One of the newest additions to the festival is the Burn stage. With an energizing program courtesy of Burn. Running on Friday and Saturday from 9pm until 4am. Some of the artists set to play this stage range from Macadam Mambo, Nick Holder, Marquis Hawkes, Nick V, Daniel Wang and Akirahawks. Throughout the weekend there will be no less than 46 hours of music and only 6 hours break once things kick off. An endurance test that will push you and me right to the edge with a killer soundtrack to match.
