Time To Techno: Joseph Capriati Comes To Dublin

When We Dip
Dublin, Europe, Events
16 April 2017

The don, the mac daddy, the prince of techno, Joseph Capriati has cultivated a stellar reputation over the years as one of the most influential techno artists of his generation. From Awakenings to Timewarp, from Berghain to Fabric, the Italian is universally lauded as a supreme selector. It was perhaps his famed residency at Music On which propelled him to his current heights, his devastating sets within the confines of Amnesia, endearing him to techno lovers around the world on a regular basis. Combined with poignant releases on the likes of CLR, Drumcode and his own REDIMENSION Records the Caserta native has carved an indelible niche for himself in electronic music.

So it is with no further aplomb that he arrives in Dublin next week for what is set to be the mother of all throwdowns. Friday at what is now Dubin’s techno temple District 8 the man himself will bring his distinctive form of groove influenced techno to what is looking like a sellout crowd. Fresh from a standout performance at this year’s Timewarp Festival, Ireland’s dance music connoisseurs can be sure of an aural treat the likes of which are relatively rare on these shores.

Tickets for Joseph Capriati at District 8 are available now: Joseph Capriati at District 8
