With the global summer festival season getting firmly underway, it feels like we are spoiled with a vast selection of quality music. So it takes something really out of the ordinary to stand out from the crowd – but that’s precisely what Red Bull’s Demon Dayz in London has managed to do.

Curated and headlined by the Gorillaz, the festival will be taking place in the Dreamland amusement park in Margate, England, on Saturday, June 10th. With a new album reportedly being cooked up, the opportunity to see the genre defying group playing their first UK show in nearly 7 years makes Demon Dayz the festival to watch out for.

As you would expect from Damon Alborn and his partner in crime Jamie Hewlett, the rest of the line-up is a real treat – with Vincent Staples, the classic De La Soul and When We Dip stalwarts Claptone playing across 3 different stages. The fact that the festival is in the Dreamland Margate amusement park will only add to the occasion. The park includes vintage rides and is an idyllic setting, perfect for the dreamy vibe that the Gorillaz will no doubt create.

Here at WWD, the Gorillaz have always been one of our favourite live acts, for their electric and energetic shows that remain memorable, making Demondayz a festival not to be missed. For those not fortunate enough to get a ticket (the festival quickly sold out) the whole event will be live streamed by our friends over at Red bull TV, which you can find here.
