The 5th and 6th of May will see London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park transformed into something quite special, as the renowned Arcadia spider descends for it’s tenth anniversary celebrations. The renowned arachnid stage is only part of the story, as the festival site includes an immersive indoor arena aptly titled ‘The Reactor’, and a smaller space called ‘The Bug’. Exciting stuff.

“Arcadia London is an immersive festival, fusing monumental spectacle, high octane performance and thunderous bass into a spellbinding sensory experience”.

Arcadia Spider

House and techno is the name of the game on Friday, with a selection of live performances that are rightfully exciting. Leftfield will be headlining proceedings, bringing their renowned live performance to the Arcadia spider. Cocoon runner Sven Vath will also be performing, along with Groove Armada, Dusky, Max Cooper and Norman Jay.

Onto The Reactor. First off, this stage sounds pretty outrageous. Billed as an “experimental sensory laboratory”, the indoor arena will feature a “laser installation that transforms the hexagonal arena into an all engulfing geometric matrix.” Very nice. Productions aside, the lineup is just as exciting, as Paul Woolford and Boys Noize take centre stage, along with Eats Everything and Matador performing live. From Woolford’s vocal infused take on house music, to the harder darker techno sound of Boys Noize, there’s something for everyone.

Arcadia London lands in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on May 5th. 6th release tickets available here. Catch the warm up video below.
