Christmas is coming early this year! The Sessions have announced a special night in Rotterdams infamous undergound club; Toffler. These promoters have brought it yet again, confirming one of the biggest artists in contemperary progressive music. This week Henry Saiz will be playing a 3 hour set for them. We asked him his top 10 of tracks by Dutch producers.. Enjoy!
Legowelt – Elementz of Houz Music
This is Legowelt at his best. So much melancholy and nostalgia that combines all the innocent memories, unpleasant experiences, fears of the unknown and whatever else there is there in your heart – this track will just make you feel all of it and then some more. Very emotive piece of music, I still get the chills.
Patrice Baumel – In This World
Patrice always knows how to create an impeccable journey in his tracks. Just listen to that bassline… really takes you places.
Basic Bastard – Space Rider
The one you call old but gold done by an absolute hero in Dutch dance music Orlando Voorn. Strong, funky and captivating from the first listen.
Fatima Yamaha – What’s a Girl To Do
There´s not much to say about this one except that this is an ultimate feel good tune. A bright example of when something simple can be just magical. It sparks with joy and good vibes all around.
Aux Tha Masterfader – Disco Dictator (Luke Million remix)
This track was and still is my jam. Quite hard to resist its driving disco beats and rolling basslines. Another feel good tune that works very well on the dancefloor.
Joris Voorn – Ringo
Very nicely done track. Soft, calm, touching, making you feel nostalgic and taking you to a happy place.
Dollkraut – Rollercoaster
Love the sinister atmosphere to this one. Rough 70’s space age glimmering lo-fi weirdness. Stands out in the world of polished and clean music production that is so popular these days.
Delta Funktionen – Black Endlessness
What a record! Weird electro goodness that´s rough around the edges and with an intense and driving atmosphere.
Reinier Zonneveld – Gateway
Very solid track that builds well, peaks well and gradually brings you back down. Does its job perfectly on the dancefllor.
Rude 66 – I Represent The Darkness
So much weird funk in this track. Dark lyrics, gloomy vocoder, 80s future retro vibes – you´ve got it all here, in perfect balance, and for a dark dystopian future.
