Few sayings conjure up as many feeling of peace and tranquility than everything will be ok. Assuring, yet similarly warming, such a comment holds a great deal of emotion, something that is often overlooked in clubland. Whisked off on a tide of bright lights and loud sounds, it’s easy for the music to lose its purpose, it’s feeling.
However, there is a party who puts emotion at its forefront. Everything Will Be OK have been bubbling gently on our radar for a while now, having thrown a showcase at former Dalston hotspot The Nest in April of last year. Takeovers of the nestled-away Shoreditch Platform, alongside a charity party in Elephant and Castle, have followed, allowing the party to grow an organic following; a real following for those who have faith that, upon attendance, everything will be OK.
While intimate tucked away spaces have been the name of the game in recent times for the London outfit, something special is happening on March 2nd. Very special in fact. E1 London, the Wapping nightclub whose recent revamp has seen an incredible four-point sound system integrated into both dancefloors, will lay host to an Everything Will Be OK showcase, one that features a lineup of qualifying magnitude.
A veteran of Solomun‘s Diynamic Music imprint, it is hard to find a feat that HOSH hasn’t achieved in his illustrious career. Having remixed the likes of Kollektiv Turmtrasse in recent times, alongside countless releases on Diynamic Music, the native German has a knack (and some) for creating the perfect dancefloor weapon. And the bespoke Funktion One ‘Wall of Sound’ system is the perfect conduit for his melodic, emotional groove.
Alongside HOSH will be one of Sweden’s finest exports: Jonas Rathsman. Head of the globally recognised ELEMENTS series, the likes of Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels, Lee Burridge‘s All Day I Dream and Solomun’s Diynamic Music have all laid host to his charismatic, daring productions. Such accomplishments are no-doubt impressive but they should come as no surprise: Jonas is a highly esteemed talent in production and deejaying. Have a watch of his ‘Against the Clock’ above.
Support comes from Katrinka, Sacha Yonan, and Technik, the latter of whom are the organisers and residents of the event itself. With an upcoming play at Printworks, alongside the success of the Everything Will Be OK brand, there is no doubt the future is bright for the duo.
Most fundamental to the concept of the party, however, is the sense of utopia. Decor plays a pivotal role in this, with hanging lanterns and flowers adorning the walls, the space feels idyllic and natural, again emphasising the feeling that everything will be okay.
So with less than a month to go now, we would advise you to be quick with purchasing tickets. A carefully curated lineup, of moving melodic groove, on London’s best sound system, whose following are as loyal as they are musically informed. What’s not to love?
Everything Will Be OK: HOSH, Jonas Rathsman, and Residents will be taking place at E1 London on March 2nd. First release tickets available here.
