The second batch of remixes from Ellen Allien’s recent album ‘Alientronic’ is here on BPitch. Still sizzling hot from the studios of some of the scene’s brightest talents this bumper package includes four new mixes by artists including Alien Rain and Shlømo plus Hector Oaks and Fjaak.
Alien Rain takes on ‘MDMA’, introducing a huge nineties-inspired synth line that is bound to cause uproar. The riff is modulated, twisted and warped, steadily graduating into all out madness towards the latter part of the track.
Next up is Shlomo with his remix of ‘Exit To Humanity’. The drums go full-on tribalesque giving this one a raucous energy, a short breakdown sends us into the main body of the track which is unrelenting with bright synth lines lighting things up towards the end.
Hector Oaks follows up with his version of ‘Free Society’, this one under his Cadency alias. This piston-pow- ered mix takes no prisoners with its hypnotic potency. Ellen’s original riff is spliced with Hector’s inventive instrumental to great effect.
Infamous 420 lovers FJAAK close the release with their throbbing reinterpretation of ‘Bowie In Harmony’. On this rework, a powerful low end sends tremors through the Earth’s surface as a menacing acid lick wriggles and squirms in the background.
Free Society (Edit 2) was remixed and rearranged for the special warehouse touch by Ellen herself. You can listen to the full premiere of this new version of Free Society exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy !
