‘Say Yes’ is a one of a kind collaboration between Polish Pysh & American Bondar with the captivating vocals of internationally praised slam poet Lazarusman. Also included on this release, a percussive remix by Swiss duo Animal Trainer & an energetic adaptation by our label head Nico Morano.
You can now listen to the full premiere of Animal Trainer‘s remix exclusively on When We Dip. We also had a small talk with Animal Trainer about their remix and more… Enjoy!
WWD: What does “Say Yes” mean to you and why did you want to remix it?
We really love the voice of Lazarusman and we wanted to collaborate with him before and we even started a Song together which we unfortunately never finished, so we are glad to say YES to this remix.
WWD: Did you make a lot of music during the lockdown or did you take a break from everything and found a new balance in your day to day life?
We did a lot of new Music while the lockdown was happening. Besides drinking too much red wine and hiking was this the best time to really focus on music. There will be some results coming out later this year… hopefully
WWD: Switzerland was one of the first European countries to allow clubbing again, you both live in Zurich. How was your first gig and was it different then before Covid?
It was a big mix between being nervous if everything turns out well, if people feel like going to a party and how it feels to play in front of people again after 3 months. The answer is quiet simple: it’s like we’ve never been away with the small difference that the reaction from the crowd was like silvester, street parade and your birthday on the same night! It was really overwhelming and it still is after 1,5 months…
WWD: Is there anything in the near future you’re looking forward to?
We are looking forward to travel again and the end of this pandemic.. but we make the best out of it anyway and try to focus on the bright side of life and all the positive things. Music, friendship, love….and red wine of course…
