It’s been a long time coming; the Milan duo Hunter/Game and German label Systematic Recordings have forever had sounds that complement and harmonise with each other. Rich narratives, crystalline dynamics and that brave sense of voyaging into the unknown… This was always going to happen. It was just a matter of time. And that time is now:

‘Geoform’ opens the EP with powerful theatrics as it builds from minimal to masterful with all kinds of sudden flourishes. Instantly reminding us why they’ve appeared on the likes of Diynamic and Last Night On Earth, it more than sets the scene… It builds a whole new stage.

‘Arrival’ follows with more stalking sonics as a sinewy 303 slices through the duo’s signature thick atmospheres, creating tension every step of the way. Deeper we go to find ‘Hidden Spaces’ and the lush finale ‘051’ both bringing that special Hunter/Game spice. What seem like linear techno marching pieces both flip into vibrant musical odysseys; the former plucking at the strings and our hearts, the latter closing the EP down with subtle shades of lavish, life-affirming trance.
