Lifted from Kraak & Smaak’s album ‘Pleasure Centre’, ‘Same Blood’ that features Los Angeles-based duo The Palms makes a timely comeback. The track is enhanced by a quartet of sure-fire reworks courtesy of Norwegian nu-disco don Prins Thomas and True Romance head honcho Tensnake. The lavishly orchestrated, indie disco-pop ‘Same Blood’ casts a spell of Californian summer upon the dancefloor with its coastal sunset atmosphere, understated psychedelia and welcoming zero-G dreaminess that’s become a trademark of The Palms’ wistful musical imaginarium.
Adding his club-optimised twist to the tune, Hamburg-based house escapist Tensnake unbridles the groove and turns up the engines to develop the original mix’s DJ-friendly potential to the full. Calibrated to grab the dancers and not let loose on them till the lights have gone off. Both short and extended versions are primed to excel in transient moments, whether the sun’s coming up or going down.
You can now listen to the full premiere of Tensnake’s remix exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
