The latest release on Montreal imprint Saisons sees label founder Kora come together with renowned world musician Mercan Dede. Kora delivers a vibrant re-interpretation of Mercan Dede’s ‘Kapadoyka’, which was originally released last year on Halaken Records.

The release sees two closely aligned worlds and labels collide with Kora’s experience on the world side of electronic music fusing with over two decades of creative work from Mercan Dede in traditional acoustic Turkish and other oriental musics. 

The Turkish composer, ney and bendir player, DJ and producer  has been a staple in the scene, performing at highly regarded events such as the Montreal Jazz Festival, WOMEX, the Festival de Trans Musicales, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and the World Roots Festival.
