Canadian Imprint Victims Music Company, from Montreal, is releasing a Best Of compilation from 2013-2020.  One thing for sure, label head, DJ, promoter and music producer François Lebaron had a pretty busy year considering the pandemic. This compilation, marking the 18th release of the label, features some of the best artists from Montreal but also some worldwide established names such as BLOND:ISH, FELIX DA HOUSECAT, ALEXI DELANO and HÅKAN LIDBO.

Some milestones from the label: artists like Montreal very own ADAM HUSA who released his first EP on VMC got major feedback from his song Life. Montreal Stereo residents MONITORS also made big noize with their single Plastic Jesus.Blond:ish & Michael L Penman’s remix of Lebaron’s song Dice Roller was an important ice breaker for Blond:ish back then (2010). Big tune. Not to mention, Montreal trickster duo HOOPALAÏ and FELIX DA HOUSECAT, under the moniker Thee FFF, treated us with a tasty minimal Detroit vs Chicago EP named Contradiction.
