The Blackboard label chalks up another lesson in house excellence with Italian Roberto Pagliaccia behind a brand new single that comes with a remix from Audiojack. This follows fine tunes from Pagliaccia on the likes of Lapsus Music and marks another high point in his career.

The excellent ‘When We Were Kids’ is a sleek tune that bumps on nice drums and coarse claps. A subtle lead synth grows ever more wild to get you in the zone and then lush chords add light and soul as well as real warmth. They help elevate your mind and make this a standout tune, especially once the spine tingling vocal comes in.

The Audiojack remix of ‘When We Were Kids’ is more direct and club-ready, with serene house grooves rolling along beneath a wordless and airy ad-lib. It’s a zoned-out tune for those late-night hours and has some epic piano chords mid-way through.
