Vivrant‘s fifth release of 2021 is set for release on October 1st, and it’s from the Swedish melodic queen MOLØ’s second original in her career project, as well as on the label she now calls home. It follows up on the reimagined ‘Vangelis Dreams’ EP, Marino Canal’s debut project on Vivrant, which featured remixes from Afterlife standout Coeus, legend in the game Dominik Eulberg and Danish up-and-comers Baime.
MOLØ made her debut on Vivrant with her first-ever release in October of last year with the stunning ‘Luma’ EP. The 5-track project topped Beatport, saw coverage from Beatportal, Trndmsk, Deep House Amsterdam, Swedish National TV, Swedish National Radio and garnered support from a who’s who in dance music including Kevin De Vries, Guy J, Tim Engelhardt, Above & Beyond, Marino Canal and more. Additionally, she capped the year off with a nomination in the dance category at the Swedish Independent Music Awards.
After putting out her first-ever remix on Moscoman’s Disco Halal earlier in 2021, she’s now ready to unveil her second original project in ‘Vemode’. First premiered on Danish giants Whomadewho’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, ‘Vemode’ is a delicate yet hard-hitting melodic auditory journey that encapsulates the emotions of MOLØ after 18 months of pandemic-induced angst and careful optimism of hope for a brighter tomorrow. A raw, honest, and touching sound portrait, ‘Vemode’ paints a picture that takes you from hope to despair, while detailing the passion, intensity, and warmth experienced between the two polar opposite states.
