AmyElle returns with her soulful house offering ‘Push It’. The syncopated synth chords give it a 90’s rave-inspired feel accompanied by a passionate vocal loop chanting while driven by hard-hitting drum samples. ‘Push It’ is an anthemic track that is brash and lively making it the perfect club tool for a hot & sweaty basement.
Signing to London label Another Rhythm in 2019, Amy’s career was born in the unlikely time in what was a global pandemic. Amy’s debut releases received wide critical acclaim (Mixmag, Pioneer, BBC Radio 1, Sirius XM), becoming the cover of Spotify’s UK House Music and clocking millions of streams. As well as receiving extended airplay, Amy was one of the first DJs to take to TikTok and Instagram Reels, using it for DJ tutorials and making tracks with 4 decks , amassing over 100k+ followers.
Amy takes inspiration spanning from John Barry, Lambert, Kolsch and Catz n’ Dogz but is also influenced by old Chicago House and Detroit Techno records that have “stood the test time.” “I want to make music that gives you the chills. It’s got to have some soul. I write music that I want to go bigger than a specific scene or genre.”
Her most recent single ‘Feel The Heat’, her biggest track to date, has been featured across Spotify’s playlist ecosystem as well as support from Mixmag, Datatransmission, Girls Are Awesome, and Magnetic Magazine. Speaking on the new single, Amy states:
“I always find myself endlessly searching for old school classic house records that set dancefloors ablaze, wishing I could have experienced music at this iconic time.
For Push It, it was important to add that grit and feeling of imperfection to create that older analogue feel which I think is lost in today’s music.
I used a memorable repetitive chant of ‘Push It Up, Kick It Up, All You Need To Know’ to have the purpose to be sung along to and have the feeling of freedom and being carefree: all you need to do is dance in that moment.
My ultimate goal was to have an interactive feel good energetic record with one goal and that is to get you dancing.” – AmyElle
