Rising talent Chloe M. AKA Bambi Rambo inaugurates the next edition of our ‘Prima Lux’ series. This set was recorded live at the Steel Yard, one of London’s prime warehouse venues, and took place at the end of July, when London’s nightlife re-opened.

As she describes: “This mix was an important milestone for me and it holds a very special place in my heart. It reflects the awakening to clubbing again, starting with dark disco and lingering melancholic and emotional melodies that are soon combined with a strong drive and uplifting groove – almost like a marching and military feel. The set then lands into deeper territories, where I decided to close with the iconic trance anthem ‘We Came In Peace’, which is an obvious message these days considering all the restrictions being placed on nightlife everywhere.”

Each of those sensations is felt right through the set, as we’re taken on a journey across an array of sounds and styles. Weaving such genres together is no mean feat but there’s a seamlessness to Chloe’s mixing capability in this live performance. It’s sensuous, evocative, and wholly music-focused – three traits mirrored throughout Bambi’s career to date.

From woodland settings to global festival stages, Bambi Rambo is swiftly becoming a talked about talent on the electronic music circuit. Traversing genres is her forte and her name embodies such a duality: sometimes groovy house and indie dance, sometimes melodic and driving techno; sometimes soft, sometimes hard; sometimes Bambi, sometimes Rambo.
