Lee Mortimer, aka Friend Within, today releases his new EP ‘Feel A Little Strange,’ under his alias 2phargon on Dirtybird. The project sees him being a bit more experimental with his sound, digging in classic synth sounds and modern, digital groove boxes.

The EP features three brand new tracks including the title track ‘Feel A Little Strange’, a monster attention grabber – the perfect piece to kick off the new venture. ‘Micro’ is a fast-paced track, filled with moments of drifting away before snapping back into stride. Rounding it out is ‘Dwelling’, a bubbling kaleidoscope of sound.

Considering Dirtybird was the first label to release Lee Mortimer’s music over ten years ago, it’s only right that they are the label releasing the new EP. In his own words, Lee says “to be in the early stages of my latest alias 2phargon and to be releasing on this legendary label is incredible.” 2phargon will also be joining the flock family at Dirtybird CampINN in Orlando on Sunday, February 27th.

Mortimer’s previous releases on the label as Friend Within include ‘Move Me’, ’The Game’, and ’The Pull’. He’s been supported by dance music heavyweights Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Derrick Carter, Annie Mac, Oliver Heldens, Eats Everything, and many more. Lee Mortimer also self-releases his blurring take on house music via his own label ‘He Loves You;, and has demonstrated massive popularity touring everywhere from UK staples The Warehouse Project and Fabric to festivals Creamfields, Parklife, and XOYO, to hitting the international circuit at Holy Ship! and EDC Mexico.

2phargon and Dirtybird invite you to get lost in the endless avenues of melodies, bleeps, and beats of ‘Feel A Little Strange.’ You can now listen to the full premiere exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
