Shay De Castro brings her explosive style of peak-time techno to Technoblazer

Shay De Castro brings her explosive style of peak-time techno to the Technoblazer record label. Based in Mexico, she is a talented artist who has been making a name for herself on the international scene via releases on influential record labels including Spartaque’s Codex, Veerus’ Le Club, Spektre’s Respekt and Andre Crom’s OFF Recordings.

She joins Technoblazer with a thundering track that blends hard-hitting percussion with a menacing synth line to create an enthralling atmosphere full of intensity.

Picking up setlist support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens and Richie Hawtin, she has proven herself to be one of the most exciting new talents in the global techno scene. Shay De Castro is also a talented DJ who herself has travelled to play prestigious festivals and events everywhere from Holland to Guatemala.

‘Altered State of Mind’ opens the release with its pounding kick drum and rumbling bassline, while the eerie synth pad builds tension in the lead-up to the main breakdown. The track lifts up a gear with the introduction of the enthralling lead synth and stabbing melody. Taking its title from the trippy vocal sample, the track’s full-throttle groove is perfect for any dance floor.
