The unstoppable Grammy-winning DJ/producer Riton steps up for remix duties on Carl Cox and Fatboy Slim’s recent collaboration Speed Trials on Acid.
Bringing a new groove to the original, Riton reimagines Speed Trials On Acid into a squelchy synth banger – bringing a whole new sizzle to the original.
Speaking on his mix Riton said: “Working on a track from two of the world’s greatest, and one with such a solid message, has been super exciting. Carl and Fatboy are icons that I’ve grown up seeing live. They’re two of the most influential and distinctive artists that have shaped club culture and continue to do so. I hope my rework encourage you to get to a dancefloor soon and help spread the message of Speed Trial On Acid… ‘we live in a world of love‘”
After a Grammy nomination with his own track ‘Rinse & Repeat’ in 2017, Riton took home a Grammy in 2019 for his production work on the Silk City (Mark Ronson & Diplo) track ‘Electricity’ featuring Dua Lipa. He also collaborated with Ronson and Diplo on ‘Feel About You’ ft Mapei and ‘Only Can Get Better’. In 2016 Riton was BBC Radio 1’s Top Artist of 2016, had DJ Mag’s Album of the year with ‘Eine Kleine Nacht Music” and went on to release his track “Turn Me On” which has accumulated over 300 million global streams. Riton has also remixed the likes of Selena Gomez, Chemical Brothers, Kylie Minogue, M.I.A, Gorgon City, Lauv, Friendly Fires, MNEK, Sigrid and many more
‘Speed Trials on Acid’ first came out earlier this year via BMG. The hypnotic techno banger features a life affirming stream of consciousness courtesy of Detroit artist Dan Diamond. With its killer beat and driving bassline, ‘Speed Trials on Acid’ has been igniting crowds across the world as life has returned to clubs and dancefloors. As Dan’s narration declares it’s time to “Get back to the beat, back to the kick drums, back to the bass and back to the music.”
