WWD: Hey Valdovinos, how are you today?
Hello guys, I’m great thanks
WWD: Starting at the beginning, can you tell us how you got into electronic music?
My father was a 70s’ DJ of disco and soul music, and then he had a record store in my city, La Plata close to Buenos Aires. So, I grew up with a lot of records of 90′ house, synth pop, disco music and turnables.. At the beginning it was a game for me that later became my way of life. The music was always present in my life.
WWD: Could you tell us three or four highlights in your career?
• My first show in Club The Bow, Buenos Aires, was really special for me. The Bow is a 2000 people club where every DJ from Argentina dreams to play. It was in 2019 with Gui Boratto.
• My first solo EP in All Day I Dream, Grizzly. It was another great step.
• And my show the last year in All Day I Dream party in Warung Beach Club Brasil with Lee Burridge, Facundo Mohrr and Amonita. Warung is a great club, one of the most important of the world and the combination with ADID makes the event even more special. (It is very sad what happened to the club, I hope they can come back stronger)
WWD: Have you been touring recently? Where has been the best party to play in the last few months?
Yes, i’m always in movement. The last month I was touring a month in Costa Rica and Panama. All the partys be special in different ways, Antik Costa Rica was awesome, a clasic club where the people go really to dance and everything works perfectly.
WWD: What else can we expect from you over the next few months? Any exciting projects we can look forward to?
Yeah, I have a new EP coming soon on TrybesOf with four original tracks, and also a remix on Warung Recordings. But i’m always making music, I have some time working on my first album..
WWD: Could you tell us a little more about the album?
Is something different that what I always do, It is music that is not intended or focused on the dance floor. In any case, it is a longer process that I don’t want to push too much.
WWD: You are working with All Day I Dream for a while. How was your experience working with ADID and Lee Burridge?
Well everyone knows that ADID is actually one of the biggest labels in the scene, and having the opportunity of being part of that it’s incredible for me, the relationship happened in a very organic way. Lee is a great person, who is in the small details, always willing to listen to opinions, giving a lot of freedom so that artists are comfortable doing what we like and supporting us. I’m lucky for the people I work with
WWD: Where can we listen to you next?
At the end of April in All Day I Dream in Brazil, Río and Green Valley. Then Buenos Aires and other citys of Argentina. Also Colombia, México and Ibiza are on the horizon.
