Release 46 on Øddity sees the highly anticipated return of label boss Fur Coat, this time with Lexer as his partner in crime. The impressive results are two powerhouse melodic techno tracks of supreme quality.

Fur Coat and Lexer need little by way of introduction. Their names are well known globally to DJs playing high quality melodic techno and electronic music – with individual productions gracing iconic labels like Bedrock, Balance, Last Night On Earth, Just This, Atlant, Systematic, Watergate and Renaissance to name just a few.

Deep melodic title track ‘Far Away’ features talented vocalist Luke Coulson. Starting with a focused 4/4 beat, deep bass pulses lay a perfect foundation for the mesmerizing vocal to enter. Subtle atmospherics keep a dance-floor edge throughout, with each reverberated crash adding to the sense of anticipation. The breakdown certainly delivers, making full use of Luke’s warm tones before staccato synth chords add even further dimension.

Bringing contrast to the pack is ‘Celestial Realm’. A dark broody destroyer of a club track that showcases Fur Coat and Lexer’s arranging skills, whilst fully utilizing their extensive experience in the DJ booth working a club. Beautiful and beguiling, each element gives a sense of tension – from cavernous shuddering stabs to viscous synth lines radiating with intensity.

Two big tracks and further proof that 2023 is shaping up to be another landmark year for Fur Coat, Lexer, and Øddity. You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Celestical Realm’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
