Dutch producer Jengi returns with the new dancefloor-focused release, the ‘Nothing Is Easy EP’. 4 tracks which continue to showcase Jengi’s unparalleled ability to create raw and hard-hitting club music, the ‘Nothing Is Easy EP’ is out now via FFRR.
Jengi’s new release has been written by the rising artist to replicate the much-loved energy which he expertly creates in his club sets. Aiming to play 100% Jengi music within each of his performances, the ‘Nothing Is Easy EP’ channels the spirit of the dance floor along with showcasing his incredible ability to glide between electronic genres including bassline, speed garage, melodic organ house, techno, and phonk.
Signalling the start of a run of new music from Jengi, along with a number of global tour dates across 2023 at major festivals including Berlin Dance Event, Tomorrowland, Mysteryland and more, the ‘Nothing Is Easy EP’ is the next chapter in Jengi’s ever-growing catalogue of releases.
“I’ve created this EP based on how I want people to experience my live sets, so each track has been made with the build-up and the audience response in mind. The Nothing Is Easy EP is exactly the variety of tracks which I’m playing in my live sets where I aim to have 100% Jengi produced music. This is the level of engagement which I’m aiming to create with my fanbase. I don’t want to be a DJ who plays other people’s track, but a performer who people come to see and to hear me play my own music and productions.” – Jengi
Jan Theo Berendsen aka Jengi has been steadily making a name for himself, starting with his debut single Bru and EP Colors in 2017, along with collaborating with FS Green and LEYO for the House of Pablo Pack re-work EP. 2022 saw Jengi release the viral sensation Bel Mercy which broke into the top 100 in the UK singles chart, top 40 in NL and topped the Spotify Viral Charts in 40+ countries. Most recently, Bel Mercy also received a string of new remixes and edits from UK drum and bass talent .goddard and the legendary American rapper, singer and songwriter, will.i.am.
To celebrate the release, Jengi recorded a new mix for our Select Cuts series. Enjoy!
