Influential UK artist Nolan reunites with accomplished vocalist Amber Jolene for another of their essential club sounds, this time on Sasha’s Last Night on Earth.

Since their first release in 2009, Amber Jolene and Nolan have worked on many successful projects together and have racked up well over 20 million YouTube views. Nolan is a real underground mainstay who has landed on the scene’s most vital labels from Mobilee to Renaissance to Bedrock, while Amber has been voicing sublime house sounds for the likes of Defected and playing all over the world for more than 20 years.

The pair recently reconnected in Nolan’s Brighton-based studio after a several-year hiatus for this fresh new track. It originally had a nostalgic breakbeat feel which Nolan then gave a classic 4/4 house re-rub aimed squarely at the dance floor, and inspired by his early years clubbing at the likes of Haçienda, Back to Basics, Hard Times and Cream. He says, “It’s the lead synth riff that gives me the nostalgic early 90’s feels, so who better to remix this than SASHA?!! We were both blown away when we heard the results and can’t wait for everyone to hear it and to play it in the clubs.”

First up is ‘Can You Feel This’ (Breaks Mix) which bristles with energy from the well-designed drums, while Amber’s lush vocal brings the soul up top. The track’s smart arrangement makes for a real journey through subtle breakdowns and punchy drops that are run through with a real late-night atmosphere. The House mix then pulls back and rides well-swung drums with pensive chords and gritty claps. The vocal is the emotional release that takes things to the next level.

Last Night On Earth label head and bonafide electronic titan Sasha flips it into a broody and taught piece with slick electric rhythms and sensuous vocal whispers. It’s a track that keeps you on edge throughout, always building and moving with its own alluring vibe.
