Talented Oscar Escapa is already into his second decade as a techno-producer, and from his Barcelona studio base, he continues to beat the world into shape with a never-ending stream of high-octane quality techno. With fans like Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Umek and and Cristian Varela, his sounds are heard from the biggest stages all over the world. His massive ‘Berlin Feeling EP’ also became one of 2022’s best sellers on Beatport. Now with more tracks signed to both Drumcode, Terminal M and Planet Rhythm his 2023 looks to be just as impressive, and we welcome Oscar to Strange Idols.

Tiger Stripes continues his journeys around the world from his Stockholm HQ. Smoke-filled rooms with massive soundsystems are his habitats, strobelights and raw pulsating techno his nutrition, and in those conditions he thrives. With carefully crafted releases on Drumcode, Terminal M, Hot Creations, Knee Deep in Sound and Desolat he is constantly evolving and with every new release he finds new ways to express and share his love for electronic music.

Oscar Escapa & Tiger Stripes both need music more than they need air, and connected by this primal craving these two separately evolving techno-organisms found a connection across mainland Europe, which resulted in the sounds that make up the “Trance Like State EP”. Joined together by electronic roots, feeding on the ones and zeros flowing through them, the symbiotic relationship is obvious from the first beat.

Continuing throughout the whole 3 track EP, the raw, bone-shattering beats provides the backing to the hypnotic voices appearing out of nowhere, floating in and out like demons in distress. Completely absorbed by the hypnotic rhythms, time and space seem to dissolve around you, and you enter a state of trance.

Your body is now operating on pure adrenalin, only half-obeying the signals your brain is sending out, and with your mind disconnected from the world around you, the only choice is unconditional surrender.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Trance Like State’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
