AMÉMÉ makes a notable return to his own One Tribe label with a moving new single alongside NenaHalena.

AMÉMÉ was last on the label in collaboration with Bontan, with another standout track following on from previous successes that have won support from tastemakers like Black Coffee, Diplo, and Jamie Jones. The West African native’s music finds him channelling his cultural roots and ancestry into a rich Afro-house sound that very much defines this label. For this one, he works with UK artist NenaHalena, a hybrid live DJ, percussionist and producer who fuses a love of Afro-Brazilian rhythms with house and techno and has landed on the likes of Sol Selectas and Still Vor Talent.

Their fantastic ‘Own The Fire (Lit Mix)’ is a worldly infusion of organic percussion with deep house drums. Spiritual synths weave in and out of the skipping kicks, while filtered vocals add warmth and soul. It’s a track well suited to emotional sundown sets or early evening open-air dancing alike and one that is always evolving through key shifts and chord changes that send shivers down the spine.

This is another brilliantly cultured track from the essential One Tribe label head and NenaHalena. You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Own The Fire’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
