Pacha Barcelona is always at the centre point of the legendary Off Week, and this year will be no different. The week of June 11th to 16th kicks off the summer season and offers the most exclusive and powerful party experiences with some of the best DJs and collectives in the scene.
This year the likes of Alignment, Jay de Lys, Joey Daniel, Manda Moor, Mason Collective, AJ Christou, Fleur Shore, Seb Zito, Archie Hamilton, Djebali, Fabe, David Morales, Horse Meat Disco, Marco Faraone, Richy Ahmed, Sidney Charles, and many more all play parties hosted by PIV, Do Not Sleep, Glitterbox, Keller and more.
Over six consecutive dates, the world renowned Pacha Barcelona offers a peerless party portfolio of the most varied musical styles from house to techno and everything in between. The events showcasing both the most underground talents of the moment and the most established and successful artists of recent years, all in a club with a world class sound system, immersive atmosphere and plenty of cutting edge production, lights and lasers.
Electronic music week kicks off at Pacha Barcelona on Tuesday 11 June with Keller, who specialise in hard techno with their events in Madrid and who bring Alignment, the artistic alias of Francesco Pierfelici and Orbital Records boss, plus Fatima Hajj who will be sure to set the bar as high as possible, Shlømo, who has been specialising in IDM, rave and breaks for over a decade, plus Portuguese DJ BIIA and ODIL, making this the best option in town when it comes to enjoying the best techno and industrial music.
On Wednesday 12th, Sanity, Cuartero’s label, leads the bill. From Argentina will be Jay de Lys, who has gone from being an up-and-comer to becoming an established name in tech-house, plus Nacho Bolognani, Sosa and Wheats, who has previously collaborated on tracks with Cuartero, Joey Daniel, who has a full calendar since he joined the Music On family’s Orbeat, plus Denmark’s Manda Moor, one of the biggest representatives of 80s and 90s Chicago house music. B-Side will be occupied by Fontango and Indra Traferri and Joan Retamero completes the line-up with Mat Spiaggi.
On Thursday 13 June, Mason Collective, the British trio made up of Blair Suarez, Adam Myles and Omag Gueda who made it big since their first gigs in 2018 and their EP ‘Whippin’ took them to the top of the charts, will be the curators with AJ Christou, founder of Celesta Recordings, Fleur Shore who is one of the most interesting DJs of the moment, Seb Zito, who has just released his full-length ‘Dialled In LP’ and Reme in the main room, while Room 2 will be occupied by regulars BizZa, Abdon doing a b2b with Pau Guilera and Art No Logia.
Friday 14th is dedicated to the more avant-garde house sounds of Dutch label PIV, founded by Prunk, who will of course be playing in the main room. Archie Hamilton, one of the pioneers of the so-called new European sound of the past decade, will perform as will Djebali, who has been living the Parisian underground life since the early 2000s. Fabe, who runs the Berlin label and the Salty Nuts and Sweet Nuts events, will be joined by another natural born hard-worker in Josh Baker and Kellie Allen. In Room 2 will be Chesster, Elvi, Gaskin, L.P. Rythm and Marsolo.
Glitterbox, who are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year, will be at Pacha Barcelona on Saturday 15th June as part of their weekly events they take around the world. Grammy winner David Morales, best known for being one of the most renowned remixers of the last twenty years, will be in the booth with Melvo Baptiste, musical director of Glitterbox, Horse Meat Disco, the powerhouse collective of Luke Howard, Severino Panzetta, James Hillard and Jim Stanton, and the second room is hosted by Harbour Lisboa, who mix the effervescence of cutting-edge music with a relaxed concept they call Music Shelter and will bring Felipe Alemais, resident Kokeshi, and the CEO himself, Midinoize.
The week is brought to a close by Do Not Sleep Ibiza with SIGHT, with Marco Faraone as the undisputed headliner, Richy Ahmed, who runs Four Thirty Two, is one of those responsible for the rise and subsequent golden age of UK underground house music. He will be joined by Sidney Charles, founder of Heavy House Society, and there will be a b2b from MAHONY, who mixes his Romanian roots with hip-hop and rock genres, alongside Yaya, who combines his African roots with the good taste of growing up in Italy. Room 2 will be occupied by Abdon and André Buljat, Colombian Mexes and BizZa, C.I.S.C.O, and Pau Guilera.
