Dam Swindle’s Heist Recordings delivers the eleventh iteration of its tastemaking ‘Round Up’ series, an annual compilation where artists of the past year randomly remix another. Following 2024’s tenth edition in the long-running series, which saw heavy rotation across the BBC and NTS airwaves, the latest installment continues its legacy with another self-reflective medley of reinterpretations from the Heist family, including DJ Sneak, Makèz, Crackazat, Fouk, Elisa Elisa, Kaap, and of course, Dam Swindle.

“We’re going into the 11th year of our annual remixes, and we’ve got some tasty and unexpected combinations of artists. One of our highlights on this release is Fouk’s remix of Elisa Elisa’s banger, ‘Whistle Me.’ The original gained support from many of the leading women in dance, and now we’ve got Dutch duo Fouk with a complete flip on the warehouse vibe of the original. ‘The Round Up Part 11’ is a showcase of the family we’ve carefully built with Heist, and we’re proud to show you these reinterpretations of some of our favourite tracks of last year.” – Dam Swindle

Fouk kick off the package with a sun-drenched take on Elisa Elisa’s ‘Whistle Me,’ as the pair bring the tempo down and dial up the dreaminess by expertly pitching down Elisa’s original vocal set amongst neon chords. Dutch duo Makèz continue to ride the wave of hype around them with a classy remix of Dam Swindle’s ‘Forever And Ever,’ fusing gospel vocals with sumptuous strings and soulful grooves before the label bosses up the pace, injecting classic 909 elements into DJ Sneak’s Ghetto-tinged ‘I Can Tell You What You Want’ to turn it into a peak-time garage monster.

Nestled in amongst those always reliable and timeless house sonics are the acid-flecked blips and bleeps on Elisa Elisa’s remix of ‘Sereen,’ pure synth wizardry from Crackazat across his flip of ‘Tapioca,’ and raw dubby lushness of DJ Sneak’s reinterpretation of ‘Running From The Noise’ that exemplify Heist as a wide-reaching home for house heads of both old and new with a family-centric ethos at its core.

You can now listen to the full premiere of DJ Sneak’s ‘Running From The Noise’ remix, exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
