After making a huge impact in early 2024 with ‘Warehouse Symphony’ – a track that dominated dancefloors and radio airwaves while earning support from DJs including Danny Howard, Riva Starr, Mau P, Sarah Story, and DJ Seinfeld (who featured it in his BBC Essential Mix) – NYC’s Pinto returns to the Pets Recordings with another trio of big-room anthems.

Pinto’s signature style – powerful, heavy house jams infused with funk, disco, and soul samples – is on full display in his latest EP, ‘Melbourne.’ Inspired by an unforgettable tour of Australia, the EP is named after the city that stole his heart.

Lead track, ‘Circus,’ is pure after-hours energy – sweat-drenched, relentless beats punctuated by shimmering strings that tease with a hint of disco before plunging into the strobe-lit chaos. ‘Electric’ picks up the techno torch, but Pinto keeps it unpredictable, weaving in deep, jazzy keys before slamming back in with the synths for a heads-down finish.

“Both ‘Circus’ and ‘Electric’ are named after the clubs I played in Melbourne. The city felt very familiar to me, with its dark, gritty edge – very much like NYC – and I think you can hear that in these tracks.” – Pinto

Closing out the EP, ‘Onesixone’ shifts the mood from dark rooms to sunlit terraces. With its percussive grooves and horn-driven funk rhythms, this jackin’, disco-infused jam is a tribute to the rooftop club of the same name. A perfect finale to Pinto’s ‘Melbourne’ EP.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Onesixone’ exclusively on When We Dip. Enjoy!
