IsGwan brings immaculate groove to Bad Parrot with soulful single, ‘On Your Mind’

Fresh from releasing the sublime ‘All You Want,’ Australian artist IsGwan (aka Isaac Walker) returns with the second track, from a forthcoming full EP on London label, Bad Parrot. ‘On Your Mind’ finds the Melbourne/Naarm native collaborating with vocalist and writer Amber Ferraro, building on his reputation as a leading proponent of UK Garage and flexing his most soulful side yet.

Crafting immaculate grooves which flit seamlessly between breakbeat, dubstep and jungle influences, IsGwan delivers a sound which is emotive, powerful, and with plenty of soul and musical craft.

Since first starting out in a warehouse studio in 2021, he’s generated a worldwide buzz, earning plaudits from Interplanetary Criminal, Sammy Virji, DJ Boring, and Special Request who’ve spun his tracks in such iconic spaces as Boiler Room, Parklife Festival, and Warehouse Project Manchester.

Having put out releases with major labels including Steppers Club and Choki Biki, the acclaimed DJ and producer is ready to carry the baton into 2025, currently working on brand new projects including a potential official remix of General Levy and M-Beat’s Jungle anthem “Incredible.”

In 2024 alone, IsGwan garnered almost a million streams, as well as playing multiple sold-out shows across Australia and beyond. With On Your Mind he brings his melodic instincts to the fore, tearing up the rulebook and marrying irresistible basslines to more complex rhythmic arrangements.

“This song represents my shift towards more melodic music, moving away from club-focused tracks to something that can be enjoyed in any setting. It started with a jam session with Soma, whose vocals became a key part of the track, and later, Amber helped shape the main melody. I focused on creating a musical journey with classical influences, refining every detail, especially the drums, and this song ended up taking the longest to perfect.” – IsGwan
