Canadian label Strange Town Recordings continues its ascent this November welcoming Toronto producer Philip James de Vries to fold for their twenty second release. He joins the likes Dustin Nantais, Matador, James Teej and Groj, who’ve already contributed to the Montreal outfit. The new EP follows appearances on Ottawa-based imprint Wide Angle and Van Did’s Grrreat Recordings for de Vries.
Rising Greek producer Futur-E has been called upon for remix duties. He puts his delectable touch to the track in a power-driven remix, which uses the harrowing vocal to optimum effect. The former Manual Music and Tulipa man builds the rework around a staunch drum ensemble and a hypnotic collection of intricate melodic touches, excelling in the breakdown with a string-heavy and tense pause. With much more on the horizon for the label and de Vries, expect a big 2016 all round!
The release date is set for November 30th, 2015.
