Amine K
Friday – The Arena – 8pm
This being a Moroccan festival it would be a shame if there wasn’t time to sample a few of the local delights, and in Amine K visitors to Oasis Fest will get to experience one of the rising stars of African electronic music. That’s not to say his progressive tech wouldn’t be equally at home as part of any other lineup, the Moroccan has already been extensively touring this summer around the world from Ibiza to Burning Man. With releases on the likes of Systematic Recordings and Be Crazy Music its clear Amine K has got the skillz, so make sure you find yourself a prime spot in the Arena 8pm on Friday to see for yourself.
Butch
Sunday – The Oasis – 9pm
A firm WWD favourite, the Berlin based producer has had one of the most consistent outputs of any studio dweller in the past few years, releasing everything from tribal groovers like “Dope” to progressive builders like “Veni, Vidi, Vici”. A regular on the island of Ibiza this summer the talented performer will bring an air of musical sophistication to proceedings on Sunday night. Watch out for those signature Butch builds, they’ll get ya!
The Black Madonna
Saturday – The Arena – 12pm
The woman of the moment, there is no doubt. From Resident Advisor documentaries to a steady stream of appearances at Circoloco, The Black Madonna has had a belter of a year and the fun doesn’t stop here. Her fresh approach to djing and interesting productions are sure to provide the perfect soundtrack as you veer close to the end on night two. We’ve had her Tiga remix on repeat….
Jennifer Cardini
Friday – The Arena – 6pm
The Correspondant head honcho is a must see for us. Allaying barnstorming dj sets with her own delicate productions, the Frenchwoman has been a firm favourite in Europe’s underground scene for many years. In addition to releases on the likes of Crosstown Rebels and Kompakt she has also continued to cultivate the highly respective label outlet that is Correspondant, releasing innovative music from the likes of Agents of Time and Patrice Baumel.
B. Traits
Saturday – The Oasis – 8pm
We’re definitely curious to see what Canadian spinster B. Traits will bring to the party at Oasis Festival. If it’s anything like her expertly crafted outings on BBC’s Radio 1 then Marrakesh’s groovers are certainly in for a treat. From Techno to disco she brings a plethora of sounds and her presence will surely draw a large and enthusiastic crowd. WWD recommended!
Dusky
Saturday – The Oasis – 11pm
What a 12 months the English pairing of Alfie Granger-Howell & Nick Harriman have had. From house belters like Skin Deep to teak tough anthems like Yoohoo the duo have made a habit of churning out huge dance records. Their no nonsense productions have brought with them a wide variety of admirers as well as a memorable Essential Mix appearance. Expect excellent selections and some eclectic house vibes at the Oasis on the Saturday.
