Montreal producer/dj Eekkoo delivers a fresh three tracker on Jeremy Olander’s budding imprint Vivrant this month. The Canadian closes out a stellar year, which saw him featuring tracks on the likes of Suara and Hydrozoa. He also rocked Big Beat with the impressive ‘Letters’ release, a record that saw remixes from NTFO, Noir, Doctor Dru, Kidnap Kid and Olander himself.
The ‘Nightingale’ showcases once more why a top notch studio prowess proceeds him. It offers up a blend of energetic electronic music that sits in an idyllic centre ground between his signature raw techno power and a more melodic, old school prog pole. The title track is a firm groover with a minimal edge and some intricate melodic touches. Track two ‘Amplified’ is a more monstrous affair, similarly vibrant but coated with some harrowing textures. ‘Zwart’ closes out the EP on a firm footing. It’s a more tense affair centred around a pulsating arpeggiator.
Release Date: December 3rd, 2016.
