The latest installment of Afro-disco bullets from Dublin’s Orange Tree Edits has arrived! This time featuring Irish producers R. Kitt and Cove Edits. High quality tracks and low pressing numbers is the name of the game for this mysterious Irish label. They return with a two track bomb that is guaranteed to sell out, the only question is, how fast? Their first EP sold out in just 24 hours and this one is looking to do the same.

With tracks as good as these it’s no wonder that the OTE records have become some of the hottest merch on the market this year. The opening track on this record “Go Go Go” starts off with soulful organ chords caressing the record into life, with gentle percussion keeping everything in time. The softest of kick drums open things up with a gentle push. All joined together with an African vocal sample that fits in oh so well. Things never get too hectic or cluttered in this track, even when the drums get slightly heavier it still feels like it all belongs. Think early morning sunrises and soft summer air.

On the flip things get going straight away with “Down Down Down”. A faster, more upbeat kick drives things along at a more dancefloor suitable time. Just as exotic as the opening track the synth work on this is far more intricate. Subtle tones eloquently give the track an exotic steel drum sound while also flooding your ears with future facing electronic sounds. This fantastic rework of African Brother’s Band “Ngyegye No So” is just the thing for your ears in these early days of the sunny months. Grab it while it’s hot, these won’t stick around for long.
