The Magic Movement is a label that’s cutting edge style has helped define a genre with its downtempo Cozmico grooves from visionary artists such as Xique-Xique, Nicola Cruz and Oceanvs Orientalis.

Providing the music for the exquisite new release is German artist Noema who runs The Magic Movement. Noema has also featured his vibrant style of music on the likes of Sol Selectas and Get Physical, drawing on more than two decades of DJ experience when master crafting his tracks. He has also worked with the likes of Dixon, Basement Jaxx and Apparat.

Complementing the low slung percussive groove and the dubby sounds of the original, this release also features perfectly composed remixes by Acid Pauli and O/Y.

Acid Pauli is an iconic producer and highly respected DJ who has a unique style that he has featured on many of the world’s best electronic labels ranging from Katermukke to Crosstown Rebels.

O/Y is also a highly respected artist who based Berlin, has played at many of the city’s best known events along with releasing music on highly respected labels such as Circles & Stones, Amselcom and Underyourskin.

The original track on this EP ‘Twilight’ conjures with a deeply sensual and hypnotic sound, featuring earthy percussion and soothing vocals. Laid back but still club focused, this is enchanting modern club music at its very best. Second on the release is Acid Pauli’s remix which is a stripped down version of the original, letting go of the vocal to draw focus on the building tension of the backing track and its moody atmosphere. For the third track Noema provides a dub rework of his own track that uses meandering synths, less of the vocal and more focus on the percussions with added funk. Closing the EP is the O/Y remix which has a raised tempo and a juddering synth melody that compliments the dubby stabs and gentle shuffle of the percussion. Trippy with a poignant breakdown, this emotive version is tailor made for club sound systems.
