Latmun, the moniker of Joe Bradley is making his mark through a unique interpretation of the Tech House soundscape. Both his DJ sets & own productions have a coherent energy, infectious grooves being the key component for crowds to be captivated worldwide. He now unveils his new EP ‘Who Knew’ on Revival New York and you can listen to the full premiere of the second track ‘Closer’ exclusively on When We Dip while reading the short interview we had with him. WWD: Hey Latmun! Your ‘Who Knew’ EP marks a label debut on Revival New York, how did the EP end up heading to NYC?

Yo! Revival has been on the cards since its incarnation really, as the label boss Mike has been a good friend of mine for many years. I sent a few tracks back and forth and we were just waiting for the right one. ‘Who Knew’ was actually a track I wrote during the lockdown period so hadn’t sent it out until I got chance to test it in clubs, I passed it onto Mike and he said this is the one for the EP. I wrote the B side after as a different kind of tool to complete the release.

WWD: The EP is picking up some huge early support from Michael Bibi and Joseph Capriati, talk us through the two tracks…

So ‘Who Knew’ came about from a cool new way I found in the studio to chop vocals which inspired me. I was playing around and stumbled upon the sample and then wrote the track around it to complement it. A couple of tweaks after testing it out and the track was ready. With ‘Closer’ I wanted to make something more late night, stripped back vibes and this one came about the other way… I wrote the groove and vibe and then after lots of searching find a cool eerie vocal to complement it.

WWD: You also played for Revival as part of their opening stream with Desert Hearts on Twitch at the start of the year, how was it compared to full shows with crowds?

That stream was a lot of fun, it happened at a time when us artists didn’t have a lot to do, so I was very glad to play some music! I had a really fun dance around my studio and with a good imagination it was just like being in a club haha.

WWD: What’s next for you, and can we expect a return to Revival New York?

I have a really exciting 17 date tour in the US coming up in October with my good bro Wheats. I’m really excited to be back in the states, feeling the energy again over there and having a lot of fun on tour with a good friend!

I also have plenty more exciting solo tracks to share with the world and also a collab with Ben Sterling later this year. There’s also a follow up with Iglesias to find a home for, so who knows 😉 or should I say ‘Who Knew’ haha.
