The fine vein of form for Hot Creations continues this month with a release from a new face in Jey Kurmis. The Leeds based producer turns in one of the standout EP’s of the year for the Jamie Jones led imprint with a four track salvo that is set to do serious damage this summer.
The Lil’ Nic French EP certainly packs a punch with the lead track incorporating a somewhat progressive touch with some recognizable Hot Creations sounds and a vocal that will drive itself inside the minds of even the most assured clubber and set itself to repeat! LA Shazz is also a force to be reckoned with, a bass driven track with some nice vocal touches and standout percussion. Lover continues the theme with a carefully crafted bassline paired with a techy edge with is reminiscent of a certain Patrick Topping. The EP is rounded off by our favourite track Lover. An upbeat monster which will undoubtedly floor all in its path. For some reason we can’t quite pinpoint it reminds us of that famous Butch remix for Sis – Foxy which is most definitely a good thing. Percussive bliss.
The entire EP drops this Monday via Hot Creations.
