Petar Dundov drops a killer two track EP and sum up another great EP to the Sudbeat legacy.
Croatian superstar Dundov has been a staple of underground dance music for a long time. Already successful locally, it was the turn of the century that saw him become internationally famous with a string of releases for Belgian label Music Man, and Sven Vath’s Cocoon imprint. All his work is defined by his unique take that makes him hard to pigeonhole, but amazing to hear.
Opening with the rhythmic ‘Lunar Eclipse’ deep pads and playful keys create a warm atmosphere in which your mind can run wild. Equally pleasurable on the dance floor as home listening, the analogue vibes are comforting and familiar. ‘Realm of St Stephen’ tells a similar tale with a more dancefloor orientated focus. Bubbling bass and icy pads get things off to a good start before keys and stutter vocals give direction and substance. Resolutely understated and unashamedly cool, the break serves to reset for an equally joyful second section.
You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Realm of St Stephen’ exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
