Tel Aviv-based producer Chemo makes a powerful entrance on ELIF’s Marginalia with his debut EP, ‘Late Night’ —a tightly crafted release that balances dark groove, emotional weight, and late-night dancefloor sensibility.
Known for his recent release ‘Blender’ (with ITAYGA and Assaf Michael on HarmonizZ Records), Chemo brings a sound that’s both immersive and direct—channeling stripped-back energy, pulsing rhythms, and subtly complex atmospheres.
The EP opens with ‘Glock 43,’ a stripped-back, tension-filled production built around rolling basslines and sparse, eerie synth work. With a sound that walks the line between minimal groove and deep emotional atmosphere, the track marks Chemo as a bold new name to watch.
On remix duties, Ede—whose music has appeared on Innervisions, Correspondent, TAU and more—reimagines ‘Glock 43’ into a club-ready emotional statement. Known for his richly textured, melody-driven sound, Ede draws from his own story of transformation and belief in the power of dance music to craft a version that is immersive, expansive, and packed with energy. It’s a peak-time weapon rooted in personal resonance.
Closing the EP, ‘Late Night’ explores a more introspective mood—deep pads, off-kilter rhythms, and evocative textures pull the listener into a meditative space, rounding out a release that affirms Marginalia’s commitment to championing forward-thinking artists and sounds.
