The original ‘Cuban Pete’ arrives as the title piece of a forthcoming Ritmo Futuro EP from Ben Biron and Dip, two artists who clearly share a fondness for grooves that say a great deal with very little. Built on a percussive dialogue of layered Latin textures, the track moves with restraint, slowly circling its own pulse before settling into a hypnotic, dancefloor ready frame that feels both classic and contemporary.

The EP also features ‘Who Is Random’, a melodic, vocal led companion that brings warmth and emotion to the package, alongside remixes from Djolee and Rick Offen who push the originals further into club territory while preserving their essence. Together, the four tracks form a release that breathes between tension and release, equally at home in late night settings and in more reflective moments away from the floor.

Ben Biron, based in Athens, has spent the last few years building a reputation as a versatile house and techno DJ and producer with releases that consistently balance dancefloor energy with melodic depth. Dip, the Tel Aviv based artist also known as Diploid, brings more than fifteen years of experience in electronic music, with a sound rooted in his city’s underground scene and a growing list of releases on respected imprints.

Ritmo Futuro, the label behind the project, continues to carve a distinctive identity at the intersection of percussive, melodic and Latin influenced electronic music. Curated with a clear point of view, the imprint has quickly become one to watch for those drawn to rhythm led grooves with a forward looking edge.
