Perspectives Digital reaches a milestone with its 126th release, and the label marks the occasion by welcoming Swiss melodic techno artist Patrick Ruprecht with his ‘Mournful Cadence’ EP. Across three cinematic and emotionally rich productions, the release captures the depth, atmosphere, and storytelling that have steadily placed Patrick among the new generation of forward-thinking melodic artists rising out of Europe’s underground scene.

Today we are proud to premiere ‘Call the Crowd’, a driving solo production that stands out as one of the EP’s most hypnotic moments. Built around dark grooves, evolving textures, and an expansive melodic progression, the track moves with patience and intent, pulling the listener deeper with every bar. It balances late-night dancefloor energy against the kind of emotional restraint that has become a signature of Patrick’s work.

‘Call the Crowd’ sits within a thoughtfully sequenced EP. The title track, ‘Mournful Cadence’, sees Patrick join forces with Budapest-based producer TOBAK for a powerful late-night journey driven by haunting melodies and sophisticated rhythmic detail, while closing cut ‘No Signal’ offers a brooding, tension-filled composition layered with introspection and atmosphere.

A melodic techno artist from Zurich, Patrick Ruprecht crafts music rooted in emotion, restraint, and careful attention to detail. His approach is timeless rather than trend-driven, with tracks built slowly and intentionally, valuing atmosphere, melody, and lasting feeling over short-lived impact.

Perspectives Digital, founded by Darin Epsilon in 2010 as the home of his long-running Perspectives radio show, has grown into one of the most respected outlets for melodic and progressive electronic music. With a catalogue spanning deep, tech, and progressive shades of house and techno, the label continues to champion artists who put emotion and craft first, and ‘Mournful Cadence’ is a fitting addition to that legacy.

You can now listen to the full premiere of ‘Call the Crowd’ exclusively on When We Dip Radio. Enjoy!
