A rare balance of the two. Intense production talent and a penchent for adventurous, exciting DJ sets. That is the beauty of Tale Of Us. An enjoyable excerpt of their bio reads ‘All good music should tell a story. Tales of experience, Tales of joy, tales of love lost and won. A Tale of Us’. It seems the Italian duo of Karm and Matteo enjoy weaving some semblance of a story into their sets. It’s no wonder that people still rave about their Boiler Room set at Nuit Sonores (you can catch that here), these boys know how to entertain a crowd.

So we’ve established that they know how to spin a tune or two but they also know how to carve out some beautiful productions. Their remixes have an almost mythical reputation. Perhaps the most renowned is that of Thugfucker – Disco Knome. A track that dominated the Ibizan summer of 2010 and put them on the minds of every DJ and promoter. Stellar remixes followed for the likes of James Teej, Audiofly and WhoMadeWho and cemented their place as go to men. Of late the duo have taken a turn towards the techno side of things joining forces with Richie Hawtin to put out some diamond tracks on Minus ( Another Earth and Discochord both hit the spot nicely) this has also seen them earn a few nice spots at Enter in Space this summer. It’s clear they are once again about to dominate the dance game.

Their arrival coincides with the launch of JACK at the Button Factory a night focused on underground house and techno with a particular nod to ‘the creator’ Jack of Mr Fingers fame. We’ve heard rumours of some incredibly exciting acts for the future which should see the night gain a strong following. WWD will be out in force for this one. A few tasty samples below for you!
