To ensure the strength and depth of artists gracing our fair city in 2013 continues, the guys over at Hidden Agenda are kindly bringing Finnebassen & Leon Vynehall to The Button Factory this Saturday.
Of course, the Norwegian house maestro Finnebassen will be the familiar name on this billing. After a stand out 2012 which saw production after production be met by widespread acclaim he will come to Dublin with this collection full of original and remixed treats which will no doubt go down a storm. With an original like that of If Only You Knew and a remix like his take on Prince’s When Doves Cry the crowd are sure to be entertained. But undoubtedly the track most people will be longing for is his track Touching Me. With it deservedly reaching the highest of heights on the Beatport Deep House chart this recognizable gem will surely have the Button Factory grooving come Saturday night.
Also on the billling for Saturday is an exciting prospect altogether. Leon Vynehall comes to Dublin fresh off the back of releasing his Brother/Sister EP on Aus Music. Having supported records from Bicep, Dusky and George Fitzgerald, Aus is one label which can certainly spot talent and we think they’re on the money again with Leon. As well as the fresh sounding house vibes he produces solo, Leon is also one half of Lazlo Dancehall, a new collaborative effort with Christian Piers. Together the pair have already produced tracks worthy of play after play. Released on George Fitzgerald’s label ManMakeMusic, you may have heard Gave Up and Ain’t No Time if you tuned into Fitzgerald’s Essential Mix at the start of the year. Here at WWD we’re sure they’d be a welcomed sound if they were to be given a spin on Saturday.
So with support on the night from Colin Devine and tickets priced at only €10, or €7 over on Resident Advisor, get yourselves down to The Button Factory. Hidden Agenda always throw a good party and this is set to be no different!
