Fresh off the back of the what appears to have been the resounding success of his Dublin gig for Hidden Agenda at The Button Factory, we’re bringing you the latest release from Kidnap Kid, Thin Lines. Unfortunately we weren’t around to catch this talented young man in action but we’re sure this two track release went down a storm to the crowd that apparently stormed the stage mid set.
The title track is devilishly deep with piercing piano chords and vocals from Lotti that just ooze summer vibes. A lovely mellow tone is set by Mr. Relton with this production and if ever there was an introduction needed for a summer soundtrack this would be it.
However, the golden nugget in this release is Survive. This chilled out tech house track comes packed to the brim with all one needs to survive the sunniest of summer days or the darkest of Sunday mornings. With lovely chord progression, mesmerizing melodies and one kick ass vocalist, this really is the groovy number for us and with BBC Radio One giving full support it’s safe to say it’ll be in many other people’s summer playlists too.
This release is out now on Black Butter Records and it’s safe to say they’ve chosen this release wisely. Big ups!
