Next up on a label we’ve been singing the praises of since it’s introduction is a tasty collab between Citizen & Joe Ashworth. Their three track Situation EP is lined up for the 6th release off tasty new label, W&O; Street Tracks.
The title track features the vocals of Shona Carmen. Her touch gives it a classy, soulful feel while Citizen and Ashworth really got to work giving this deep house number a dark and dirty tribal sound. A nice frsh opener for the EP.
The original got a little treatment and the ‘LDN Warehouse Dub’ is an absolute stomper. It does exactly what it says on the tin and you can certainly see this one tearing up a warehouse party or two. The vocals are filtered into a backseat role in this one and the heavy bassline takes control. Big production!
Bringing the EP to a close is State. A lovely underground house vibe to this one. With a driving bassline and high tempo hats the track rolls on and is sure to have have dance floors erupting. The track really rounds off a fine EP for Citizen and Joe Ashworth and continues the flow of momentum behind W&O; Street Tracks. Big ups!
