Glendalough is set to welcome a collection of the underground’s finest beat merchants this Sunday, 27th of October. The Samhain Festival, a collaboration between Life Festival, Emergence, Bodytonic, Bedlam & Human Music, will treat Halloween revelers to the best in House and Techno from both at home and abroad. The idyllic Wicklow countryside will host 4 stages and what’s sure to be one of the crazy parties of the year. BYOB, Fancy Dress + Nina Kraviz and Co is a recipe for success if we’ve ever seen one. No surprise to see tickets rarer than gold dust.
It’s no secret that Russian disc jockey (and former trainee dentist) Nina Kraviz has a huge following in Ireland, she’s upended the Twisted Pepper with her thundering techno on numerous occasions. The WWD team were lucky enough to catch her at Richie Hawtin’s Enter during the summer and we can testify, she’s still as mesmerizing as ever.
She’ll be joined by another Techno Stalwart and Pepper favourite in the form of Marcel Dettmann. New Jackson, fresh from a starring role in the recent Guy Gerber Essential Mix, will also be making an appearance. Our pick of the bunch, however, may well be Norwegian Todd Terje. He is becoming a regular in on the green isle having already graced the likes of Electric Picnic and Bedlam, his talents are widely acknowledged. Here at WWD we can resist them disco vibes!
